Long-haul drivers spend weeks at a time living out of a truck. That means truck stop food, cold coffee, dead phones, hot nights with the engine off, and trying to sleep in daylight at a loud fuel island. We started Built for the Cab to fix the small things that make those weeks harder.
How we pick our gear
Every item in the 2,000 Mile Kit was chosen by looking at what drivers actually ask for in trucker forums and product reviews, then checking that it works in a truck:
- The 12V items plug into a standard truck accessory outlet, and the charger also works on 24V.
- The fan runs on its own battery, so it works with the engine off.
- We left out things that look good but do not fit a sleeper cab, like seat cushions that sit too high.
